The Concept

A few weeks ago, an interested client reached out to me with a request for an AI-powered assistant website. I was intrigued by the idea and decided to explore the development of such a website. The website would be a SaaS product featuring a personal assistant that could help users with various tasks, such as scheduling appointments, setting reminders, and providing information on weather and news through the use of various AI agents.

The Process

As such, the system design process required significant planning on my part to ensure that the website was both user-friendly and efficient. I started by defining the main features and functionalities that the website would have, such as setting reminders, scheduling appointments, and providing weather and news information. I used my background not only as a developer of LLMs and AI tools but as a user of popular tools like ChatGPT to identify what features such as content and design patterns would aid my client

As such, I decided a simple mockup using dummy data and some templates particularly using shadcn to attach to the proposal for the client to review.

The Conclusion

Unfortunately, the negotiation fell through as the client and my team was not aligned regarding the budget and timeline for the project. However, I am still proud of the work we did and the outcome of the project. I believe that the website would have been a valuable addition to the client’s portfolio and would have provided them with a unique and innovative solution to their needs. Still, I learned a lot about negotiation and proposal preparation. My biggest outcome would be that it is easy to hook or wow a client, but it is more difficult to actually close a deal.
